Looking at this avocado really makes me want some guacamole. 🙂 |
I had plans for a maternity shot this week, but that didn’t quite work out, maybe we’ll do one next week since thats when I have my check-up. (Once I start, I plan on doing them every doctor’s visit.) We made a trip to the vet’s office whereAunt Jo Jo works to see if we could tell the baby’s sex on the ultrasound equiptment. Unfortunately, their equiptment isn’t as advanced as what they use on humans and we couldn’t be quite sure if were looking at a little boy or a little girl. It did look like there was something there, which has Patrick “90% positive” that its a boy. I’m not convinced. What we saw could have very easily be the umbilical cord and I’m not going to be convinced until I see better proof from a professional. I have a feeling its a girl, and I’m usually pretty good at guessing these things. I was convinced my friend Ashley’s second baby was a boy, when she told me it was a girl, I was so confused. Later they discovered Mia kate was actually a Westin Heath. I just have a sense for these things. I was 100% positive that Alston was a boy, and I was right. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Wednesday morning, I felt the baby kick my hand… I think I was at least 23 weeks pregnant before we could feel Alston from the outside. Whatever the sex, this baby is a ball of energy. We could see it “swimming” when we watched it on the doggie ultrasound machine. Even though we couldn’t really tell the sex, it was still fun to see what I could feel going on in there!
Weight: 117.6 lbs (I go to the doc on Monday for my 16 week check-up, but then on Tuesday I’ll be 17 weeks. I’m anxious to see how much I weigh then.)
Waist Line: 32.75″
Signs & Symptoms: The usual, but they’ve lightened up a bit. I have really good days and not so good days. When its time to go to bed though, its defintiely time to go… if not, I get really cranky, really fast.
Looking Forward To: a real sonogram to see the sex of the baby!
Heath said Patrick told him about the sonogram. I am still saying girl. I have had a strong feeling the whole time. I will be thrilled if little Scott turns out to be a boy but I just don't have that feeling. I am hoping for a girl!!!
