My Day as a Stay-at-Home Mom…

Last Wednesday, Momma D wanted to take a day off. I was more than happy to have an excuse to stay home with my little guy. Here’s how we spent our day:

Wednesday morning, we slept in until 7:15.
We got up and I fixed Alston oatmeal for breakfast. I sat a sipped a cup of coffee while he ate.
We got dressed and ready for school. We arrived at about 8:15 and I left him playing with friends in the gym.
I worked from home on the laptop most of the morning, but was able to work from the back porch swing, so I didn’t mind a bit.

I went to the grocery store before picking Alston up from school.

When I walked in his room he was completely suprised as if to say, “what are you doing picking me up from school?”

We ran a few errands around town and headed back for lunch.
I made Alston a special lunch of ham n’ cheese croissant roll-ups. Boy were they tasty!

I made home-made guacamole while Alston watched Little Bear.

When it was time for nap, I sat in Alston’s room, working form the laptop while he fell asleep.
I worked for a couple of hours while he slept.
When he woke up we snuggled on the couch and played for a while.
I started supper around 4:30. I made Alston veggie & turkey nuggets. I also cooked Tilapia, fresh asparagus and wild rice for the gown-ups.

We played outside and then came in for dinner.
After dinner, we took a bath as usual.

I enjoyed staying home for a day and spending time with Alston. Maybe one day I’ll get to be a full-time stay-at-home mom!
