We are still scouring the market for our dream home, and even have a good idea of a place we might like to call home. I have, however, been having some fears about the future and the scary leap forward of purchasing our first home.
We’ve been approved for a mortgage, for the exact amount of how much we originally wanted to spend, but we’ve had a hard time finding the kind of house we want in the area we want to live. I’ve been thinking that maybe we should reconsider lowering our expectations… maybe we should look outside of the area that we originally wanted to live in, or buy cheaper and get a “fixer-upper”… or maybe we shouldn’t even try to buy a home right now at all… What if we buy a house and something happens, then we’re stuck? Its all alot to consider and I roll it around in my head over and over, night and day… But today God sent me much hope and a little peace.
Today’s Daily Bible Verse:
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:12-13
On my way to work, while mulling over the home-buying situation, I got behind a car with a tag that read “MARK 440”. So I looked up the verse and it reads: “Why are you so afraid? Do you still not have faith?”
Then, when I got to work, someone had emailed me this quote:
“If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.” Robert Fritz
I believe that God gave me this dream, and that he intends to fulfill it. No matter what doubts I may have, God is greater than I am. So, I continue to pray for guidance and know that He will provide.
