Alston’s baby bed was actually Patrick’s baby bed when he was little. Its sweet, but it also means its very old. While rearranging I noticed that some of the joints were a little loose, so I decided to go ahead and take it down. I also lowered the twin bed so that he can get on and off by himself. He’s still sleeping in his pack in play in our room for now, but I’ve been letting him nap in his bed during the day. I put the mattress from his baby bed in the floor for an extra soft landing–just in case.
Besides the big boy bed, Alston has also made another big boy advancement. He’s been showing some extra interest in the potty–besides just flushing it. The other day, he climbed out of the shower, walked over to the toilet, flushed it and then tee-teed in the floor beside it. So we bought him his own potty–that plays music when you go–and I’ve been letting him sit on it whenever I go. Its the neatest thing it has a sensor that only plays music when it gets wet.
They are growing up too fast!! Heath is converting AR's crib to a toddler bed today so we will see how that goes. As far as the potty, we won't be attempting that until Spring. She has shown no interest. Love the pictures!!
