For Alston’s first birthday, we had a picnic outside, because that’s Alston’s favorite place to be!

We had our family and a few close friends over to celebrate with chili, grilled cheese sandwiches and birthday cake, of course.

Poppa Joe, Kelli and Auntie Anna Belle even made the trip down. It was a very special first birthday, indeed! We were so glad that everyone came to celebrate with us!

The weather had been really nasty the whole week before, so I was afraid we were going to get rained out. Thankfully, I prayed for beautiful weather and we got it! It stopped raining long enough to dry the ground out nicely for playing and enjoy a crisp fall day outdoors. The next day, it immediately started raining again.
