On Wednesday morning, we went to pick Alston up after he spent the night with his Mammy (my mom). We had a night to ourselves to celebrate Patrick’s birthday. While we were standing in my mom’s kitchen, Patrick was acting goofy, dancing for Alston, and he laughed out loud. It was the sweetest little chuckle you’ve ever heard. The day after, I was rocking him to sleep and singing the ABC song and every time I would get to “Next time won’t you sing with me” he would laugh. He’s been laughing out loud in his sleep for about a month or so, but to actually hear him laugh when he’s awake, and know that he’s learning to express his emotions is so amazing. Such a tiny little laugh is such a huge milestone and it’s so precious I just had to share it with you.
